The Rumours are true: a Candlelight tribute to rock band Fleetwood Mac is coming to Birmingham! On August 2o, the historic St Paul’s Church will be lit up by hundreds of candles as talented pair of musicians perform a selection of hits from the legendary group in a new, pared back way. The captivating concert will make for a fabulous midweek treat, especially as the evenings get lighter and we embrace the after work activities once again. You can book your tickets here.
As Fleetwood Mac have rocked the music industry for nearly 50 years, you’d be forgiven for thinking you’ve heard the best renditions and covers of their works already; however, in this case the talented Maya Caskie and Nicole Barracks of Caskie Trio will be the ones bringing brand-new versions of favourites, like Dreams, Gypsy and Gold Dust Woman, to your ears. There will be two 60-minute performances on the evening, one at 7pm and another at 9pm – some might say, you can Go Your Own Way when it comes to picking the time that suits you best.
On the evening, you’ll be taking a seat at St Paul’s Church. The Grade I listed church began its life in 1777 and has gone through a number of changes, but it has kept its original east and south east stained-glass windows. Inside, the elegant and historic space will be transformed into an intimate setting; with the candlelight dancing across the high ceilings combined with the delicate notes of the instruments making for a magical night.
