Held every year in a hidden 11-acre woodland oasis, Mostly Jazz Funk and Soul Festival has grown into one of the UK’s most diverse, vibrant festivals. The feel-good event of the summer returns to Moseley Park with Fabio & Grooverider and The Outlook Orchestra and Jalen Ngonda, as the first two headline acts for 2026 (Friday 10 to Sunday 12 July).
Fabio & Grooverider are the undisputed godfathers of drum’n’bass. Through their own residencies, releases and award-winning radio shows, they’ve championed, developed and steered the genre for over 30 years—and, after a string of sell-out dates, will bring an exuberant set of classic anthems to Moseley Park.
Meanwhile, following an outstanding afternoon performance at 2025’s Mostly Jazz, American singer-songwriter Jalen Ngonda makes a much-anticipated return to the festival—this time in a headline slot. Festivalgoers can expect one of the most captivating performers on today’s soul scene.
John Fell, Mostly Jazz Funk & Soul’s Manager, said: “We’re delighted to reveal two of our headliners for 2026’s festival. Fabio & Grooverider are D&B royalty, and their team-up with The Outlook Orchestra demonstrates their unwavering commitment to the genre, as well as their forward-thinking attitude, while Jalen Ngonda is one of the best soul voices there is.”
Who else is performing at Mostly Jazz 2026?
Joining Fabio & Grooverider and Jalen over the festival weekend are San Diego’s Thee Sacred Souls mixing the easygoing ’60s soul with the groove of early ’70s R&B; Mississippi gospel disco soul family band Annie & The Caldwells; and Ryan Hope, from hitmakers Gabriels, with a special DJ set.
Elsewhere, check out award-winning Australian electronic duo Close Counters—whose diverse sound sits at the crossroads of house, neo-soul, broken beat and disco—and singer-songwriter Olive Jones, who’ll be highlighting tracks from her debut album ‘For Mary’. You can expect further acts to be revealed next year.
