The cancellation of Birmingham’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade for another year has left many in the city’s Irish community disappointed. While everyone from The Old Crown to Nortons has stepped in with their own celebrations this weekend, nothing can quite match the Irish pride, celebration and togetherness of the real parade.
Stepping up the closest thing to a parade Birmingham can get, Pairc Summer Series—the UK’s biggest Irish festival—has teamed up with Digbeth’s largest outdoor event space, Luna Springs, for a huge St. Patrick’s Day festival on Sunday, March 15. You can expect bands, DJs, fairground rides, Irish dancing and more!

What can I expect from the St. Patrick’s Day festival?
Kicking off from 3pm, Pairc’s St. Patrick’s Parade Day Festival will be a full-scale day festival designed for both families and partygoers alike—with kids under 17 going completely free. Expect a mix of live music, traditional performance and family entertainment all centred around vibrant Irish culture.
Headlining the event is one of Ireland’s most in-demand folk bands, The Tumbling Paddies, performing an exclusive extended set. They’ll be joined by local legends Ash Sheehan and Lampa, alongside performances from Scanlon’s School of Irish Dancing, plus roaming sets from the Birmingham Irish Pipes and Drums.

Beyond the music, families can enjoy children’s fairground rides and a wide selection of street food vendors, creating an atmosphere that aims to match the spirit, colour and community feel of Birmingham’s much-loved parade, and make this the biggest St. Patrick’s Day celebration in Birmingham.
How do I get tickets?
Tickets for Pairc’s St. Patrick’s Parade Day Festival are £24 each (+booking fee), while 17 and unders go FREE (although a ticket must be “bought” in conjunction with an adult ticket). You can also get 4 tickets for just £72.00 (+bf) for a 10% discount. To purchase your tickets, head here.
