Fancy yourself a bit of a hotshot with your pots and pans? Can you outcook everyone at the family BBQ? Does Gordon Ramsey have nothing on you? Well how about seeing if you and your knife skills can cut it in the kitchen at the Hampton Manor this August.
The hotel will once again host their Sunday Sessions series The Cook Off with Stuart Deeley this August 21. A former MasterChef: The Professionals champion, Stuart Deeley will set an afternoon of food challenges that will put tastebuds to the test. These will include a taste test, a technical ability challenge and an opportunity to get creative with a chef’s mystery box.
While the tone of the event is expected to be light-hearted, it is still a competition. Challenges will be fast-paced and high-octane. Guests will be encouraged to tap into their inquisitive nature and push the boundaries of their palettes. So if you can’t stand the heat, don’t step into the kitchen.
For those worried about facing the challenge alone, don’t worry though. The cook-off will be done in pairs – perfect those couples that think they’re a dab hand at rustling up the family meal together. If you fancy doing this one solo, however, then you will be placed with a partner on the day.
The 34 acre estate of Hampton Manor is the perfect countryside setting for food enthusiasts thanks to its three distinct on-site restaurants, including the Michelin-starred Peel’s and Grace & Savour – the immersive dining experience with a cookery school. For one Sunday a month it also opens its gates for guests to partake in a series of food-focused events. This cook-off competition marks the third event to take place, with previous Sunday Sessions focusing on a garden party, and a cider and cheese evening.
The Cook Off with Stuart Deeley will start sharply at 2pm on August 21 – with points deducted for latecomers – and is £75 per person. For more details, and information about Hampton Manor’s other events, click here.
