Whenever the sunshine in Birmingham decides to pop its head out, we only ever want to pop to a rooftop bar for some drinks oralfresco dining. Soaking in the sights and as many rays as possible. But we’ve never experienced anything like the new sun-trapped champagne terrace at Bistrot Pierre.
Since it opened back in 2016, the French-inspired bistro down by the Gas Street Basin has offered uniquely stunning views of Birmingham’s canals. But, teaming up with Champagne Lanson, they’ve added a touch of class to the area this summer. Providing an ideal spot to sample bubbly in the sunshine.
“We’re very excited to be partnering with Champagne Lanson this summer to launch the Canal Side Terrace. This stunning new space is the perfect location for visitors to slow down, enjoy quality time together and, most importantly, sip a delicious glass of fizz,” said Nick White, CEO of Bistrot Pierre.
“This is a great opportunity to partner with an historic French brand which champions the same ethos a Bistrot Pierre – authenticity, elegance and celebrating moments together.”
The Grade II listed building will allow visitors to try champagne along with a range of French-inspired small plates. Among them are Bistrot Pierre’s legendary boeuf bourguignon, as well as new dishes like chicken fricassée and risotto vert.
If champagne is not your thing, however, then Bistrot Pierre serves its signature lager Bière 94, as well as its own Cuvée 22 wines from the Languedoc-Roussillon region of France. So whether you’re after some alfresco dining or just a few post-work bubbles, head down to Bistrot Pierre’s new champagne terrace.
You can find Bistrot Pierre at Waterside House, 46 Gas St, Birmingham B1 2JT. Learn more about the restaurant here.
