Be it bottomless brunch or Sunday lunch, a classy cocktail on a date or a hangover cure with the mates, The Button Factory in the Jewellery Quarter has you sorted. There isn’t much this bar can’t handle. But just when we thought this fantastic hangout spot couldn’t get any better, it still manages to surprise us with the launch of The Yard.
For this summer, The Button Factory has restored and extended one of the quarter’s traditional buildings to open a new 350 capacity, outdoor space. Perfect for catching some of the sunshine coming our way. The Yard, which features a new retractable roof, will also play host to a series of fantastic live music, DJs and food events throughout the summertime too.
To celebrate, The Yard will kick things off on May 13 with live music from Radio 6’s Sam Redmore and his sensational band, The Tropical Soundclash All-Stars, going live at 9pm. Alongside, guest DJs Anthony Duffy & Zuanella will be playing throughout the evening until 11pm.
“We are so excited to finally get this space up and running to its full potential,” said general manager, Matt Coppell. “Sam Redmore and the Tropical Soundclash will be kicking things off in style on the 13th. We just can’t wait to have busy Summer and celebrate being such an exciting space in the heart of the Jewellery Quarter!’’
The event will also feature an open fire BBQ from street food legends Low ‘N’ Slow. Speaking ahead of the launch party, Low ‘N’ Slow’s Andy Stubbs said: “For the launch I’m super excited to work with the team at the Button Factory and bring the new courtyard to life on the 13th, with a special menu cooking whole lamb Al Asador.”
Looking ahead, future events at The Yard also include a Brunch Club, Selextorhood Festival on May 27 and a specially curated programme, called Summer in the City, where each even focuses on a different city from around the world (launching June 3).
