The Bulls Head in King’s Norton shut its doors on Monday (September 28), but fear not, the much-loved community pub will be back. Thanks to a significant £300,000 investment, it’s just the next Marston’s pub to undergo a major transformation. The Bulls Head will relaunch as a ‘Grandstand’ sports pub on Saturday, October 21.
What will the Grandstand pub look like?
The refurbishment includes the installation of multiple massive screens, a state-of-the-art sound system, and flexible tiered seating to watch all the action, while the beer garden will also be fitted with new TVs. Local sports memorabilia will adorn the walls, celebrating the achievements of local sports stars, past and present.

“We are so excited about the plans to re-open as a Grandstand pub,” said Pub Partner, Katie Charalambous. “We know our locals are sporting mad and can’t wait to be able to offer them the best possible experience when they can visit us again.”
Once reopened, the pub will show all key sporting fixtures, including football, rugby, cricket, tennis, F1, darts, horse racing, and more. Regulation dartboards and pool tables will return alongside new competition leagues and free-to-play recreational sessions.

A new range of bar food will be introduced, including a ‘Match Day Menu’ that will feature hand-held bites such as chicken wings and nachos, and pub favourites including fish & chips, grills, and burgers. The Bulls Head has also refreshed its range of drinks, with all draught beers available in 2-pint cups.
Plus, any local sports teams will be able to apply for a ‘Black Card’—giving them access to exclusive offers, endless chips on team nights and rewards for celebrating wins at their local. Marston’s selected the Bulls Head for the Grandstand transformation due to its strong involvement with local sports teams, community groups and charities.
