Major HS2 works will affect rail journeys for the next two weekends, taking place in the Saltley and Washwood areas of Birmingham.
Network Rail is supporting HS2 engineers to demolish Saltley Viaduct and Aston Church Road bridge, which spans the railway between Birmingham and Derby.
Both structures are being replaced to allow the new high-speed railway to be built beneath.
The work will affect rail journeys between Birmingham New Street, Water Orton and Coleshill Parkway stations.
Passengers are being advised to plan ahead, with many routes affected on both Saturday, June 6, to Sunday, June 7 and Saturday, June 13, to Sunday, June 14.
The routes affected include services between:
- Birmingham New Street and Leicester, Peterborough, Cambridge and Stansted Airport.
- Cardiff Central and Birmingham New Street to Nottingham.
- Scotland, the North East to Birmingham New Street and the South West.
Across both weekends, rail replacement bus services will run from Birmingham New Street to Coleshill Parkway.
