It’s only Wednesday, but I’ve already received more annoying emails than I can handle in a week. Sometimes my job just makes me so mad that I want to smash up my computer. But I can save myself that HR headache by visiting this Birmingham rage room after work instead.
Located in Digbeth, Rage Room Birmingham promises “Birmingham’s most intense stress-relief experience.” The purpose-built, three-room experience lasts just 30 minutes long, but you’ll feel like a brand-new person from letting it all out and smashing up everything from TVs and printers to glass bottles.
How does it work?

You’ll have to pre-book your session online first, choosing between the Tech Room (where you can destroy old televisions, hi-fi, etc.), Bottle Smash (which uses a hard ball to toss at bottles), and Golf Club Smash (get ready for the most cathartic round of golf you’ve ever played).
Then, when you arrive, you’ll be talked through the safety rules, kitted out in full protective equipment, and handed your weapon of choice. You’ve then got the next half hour to go nuts and destroy everything in sight. You can bring your own items to destroy, say, like you’ve got a load of old mix CDs from an ex you want rid of…
How much does it cost?

A solo session costs £34.99, but you can also book a duo session for £69.98—best date night plan ever? You can also book a group session (3 to 6 people) for a family or friends day out, but Rage Room Birmingham can accommodate larger groups of up to 50 people if that’s what you want; you just need to reach out before booking.
While we wouldn’t normally condone channelling your anger at random inanimate objects, at Rage Room Birmingham, “It’s okay to be angry.” It’s time to let loose on TVs, stereos, plates, bottles, and anything else you can get your hands on—and you don’t have to pay for the damages afterwards!
