The worst thing about Birmingham is that it has no beach. Sure, there are some incredible coastal towns and sandy shores not that far away, but they’re not exactly within walking distance or a hop on the bus away. But what if I told you that land-locked Birmingham now has its very own beach?
With all the fun of a seaside town this summer—sand, sunshine and funfair rides—you don’t need to worry about a two-hour journey (at minimum) anywhere. The return of Birmingham Beach and FunFair will provide the ultimate summer vibes for all ages. And it’s completely free to visit!
What’s at Birmingham Beach and FunFair?

Dig out the bucket and spade, and squeeze into your swimsuit, because all your favourite attractions are back. Not only is there a proper sandy beach in Digbeth, but a wide selection of classic funfair rides and games for all ages—from the Waltzer to the Runaway Train.
You can claim your deckchair and sunbathe until August 31, seven days a week, from 1 pm until late. Plus, tuck into tasty seaside-style treats, and try to win big prizes at the mega fairground. It’s basically like being in Blackpool, but you’re here, in Birmingham, instead.
This year, Birmingham Beach and FunFair has relocated back to Digbeth. You will find it on the High Street using the postcode B12 0LL. Whether you’re a family looking for a quick beach trip or a group of mates after an exciting activity, Birmingham Beach and FunFair has it all.
