All I’ve ever wanted is to live in a treehouse. Just like Bart from The Simpsons, or Finn & Jake from Adventure Time, or even the Ewoks in Return of the Jedi. Having fun in the canopy, looking down on everyone with only the sky above. But apparently, the crabapple tree that’s in my garden “just isn’t big enough,” according to my dad.
Until I can convince him otherwise, this’ll have to do: Just an hour from Birmingham is the Orchard Treehouse in Worcestershire. Wrapped around a huge Cypriot pine tree on the grounds of a manor house, with secret cabin beds to sleep a family of four, this is the stuff childhood dreams are made of.
What is this treehouse like?

Alpine-inspired, clad in Douglas fir with a cedar roof, the Orchard Treehouse is located on the edge of the charming Cotwolds village of Little Comberton (itself just a short drive from the market town of Pershore. But you will feel a million miles from anything remotely civilised for a stargaze-worthy, countryside detox.
Settle in for a cosy night by lighting the wood burner, sleep in a king-sized bed made from the surrounding forest, and watch the sunset as you soak in the bathtub (the secret cabin bed nooks can be found hidden beside the wooden spiral steps leading up there).

Other luxuries found at the Orchard Treehouse include a second bathroom, a fully equipped kitchen, a BBQ, a rope swing, WiFi and a smart TV, and plenty of books, games and maps of the area to plan walks and picnics. But there’s nothing better than the experience of stargazing from the private hot tub.
What’s nearby?

Just 200 metres away is the Lime Treehouse, if you’re looking for another secluded getaway, while there is a network of footpaths with some lovely walks over Bredon Hill. Unfortunately, there aren’t any food and drink options within walking distance, so you’re best off heading into Pershore.
