The cost of being a devoted football fan extends far beyond the match tickets and the merch. Once you arrive at the stadium, it’d be rude not to raise a toast to your team with a nice, cold pint, right? But how does the cost of that pint vary across the Premier League, I hear you ask? Well, the CEO of the ticket search engine, SeatPick, has worked out the answer.
Gilad Zilberman scoured the length and breadth of the country in search of the average cost of a pint at each Premier League stadium. Zilberman then collated the findings into a nice, handy list, revealing the cheapest, the most expensive, and everything in between.
No stranger to being perched at the top of a chart, the average cost of a pint at Arsenal’s Emirates Stadium is £6.80. On the other end of the list, Liverpool serves up the cheapest pints across the Premier League, with the average setting fans back just £4.80. A relative bargain.
But Aston Villa aren’t far behind the top spot, sitting fourth (again), Villans are spending on average £6.10 on a pint each game. That’s £115.90 on pints throughout the season for just buying one pint per Premier League home game at Villa Park (not counting Europa, FA Cup or League Cup).
