Just an hour from Birmingham, the Prince of Wales has placed a 600-acre farm up for sale in Herefordshire. Hill Farm and Seed Farm, with a joint guide price of £6.65 million, can be found in Cradley near Ledbury (not to be confused with the Cradley in Dudley).
The listing follows the news that the Duchy of Cornwall, which brings in over £20 million a year to the Prince of Wales, will sell off 20% of its property over 10 years—with a £500 million investment in affordable housing and environmental projects.

“We’re not the traditional landowner… we want to be more than that. There is so much good we can do. I’m trying to make sure I’m prioritising stuff that’s going to make people’s lives, living in those areas, better,” Prince William previously said.
Technically, made up of two properties, Hill Farm (Lot 1) is a three-storey, 8-bedroom farmhouse, while Seed Farm (Lot 2) covers 167.70 acres of arable land. Hill Farm also includes a range of traditional and modern farm buildings, and a holding mainly of grassland with some arable and woodland, and in all is about 449.70 acres.

The Farmhouse is uniquely positioned within unspoiled countryside, with the Malvern Hills dominating the skyline—although, be warned, it “requires modernisation” if you’re looking to move in. Meanwhile, The Farmland is best “utilised for the grazing of livestock.”
You will find the property a short distance from Cradley, lying at the western edge of the Malvern Hills, with the nearby A4103 road providing a direct road link between Hereford and Worcester. The market town of Ledbury, about 9 miles away, also offers direct train links to Birmingham.
