Birmingham is booming right now, and it’s not just because outdoor dining is back. The city is on the up as it welcomes new buildings forming quite the incredible skyline, and possibly enough to rival London’s. But we won’t tell them that…
One new building on the horizon is 103 Colmore Row and it comes with a jaw-droppingly beautiful restaurant up on their 24th floor. The rooftop restaurant will be run by D&D London, the group behind 20 Stories in Manchester, Klosterhaus in Bristol and German Gymnasium in London’s King Cross, to name a few. So expect opulent and sophisticated furnishings and a drool-worthy menu.
As well as the top floor restaurant, D&D will also operate a ground floor cocktail bar and café, with an outdoor terrace that will form part of the building’s feature winter garden. The rooftop restaurant at 103 Colmore Row will have a double-height dining area meaning guests can experience floor to ceiling panoramic views across the city and beyond, and has been described as ‘a glowing lantern’.
The interior is expected to be luxuriously finished throughout, including black marble floors, curved ribbed leather banquettes, dark mocca timber and feature artwork enclosing the lifts. Plus, the the restaurant has its own dedicated lifts from the ground floor cocktail bar so you needn’t have to stop at multiple floors and instead simply shoot up to your destination.
Once completed, the NatWest Tower replacement will not only be the tallest commercial building in Birmingham but also the tallest new office building outside London. 103 Colmore Row will also feature an 18th floor terrace and multi-purpose lobby business lounges, which are scheduled to be completed this summer.
Both the top floor and ground floor restaurant and bars at 103 Colmore Row are expected to open in the late summer of 2022 and D&D will soon be taking bookings. Can’t wait until then? Check out a virtual tour of 103 Colmore Row here.
