Since starting in 1891, Crufts has grown into one of the world’s, if not the world’s, most prestigious dog show. Taking over the NEC in Birmingham for four days (March 6 – 9), expect thousands of dogs and their owners to display their skills and abilities to adoring crowds – with the world-famous Best in Show competition the highlight of the event.
Last year, Crufts welcomed over 150,000 attendees (not including the dogs) and we’re expecting just as many dog lovers in 2025. On top of doggy spectacles, like flyball and heelwork, Crufts also features many stalls where you can buy pooch-related products and get expert advice from trainers and breeders. Everywhere you look is a celebration of man’s best friend.
Dog showing is the main attraction of Crufts, however, where dogs are judged on how well they conform to their breed’s standards. After four days, the best of each breed then competes against each other for the Best in Group title, before seven winners compete for the prestigious ‘Best in Show’ title.

How much are tickets to Crufts?
Even though Crufts will be streaming on Channel 4 throughout the event, in our opinion, the best way to experience the dog show is in person. Individual tickets have to be purchased for each day, with general admission tickets starting from £22 for adults and £15 for children (aged 9-15), while under 8s for free. Note: Crufts’ Best in Show is a separate event held at bp pulse LIVE with seated tickets from £23.
How do I get there?
Located right next to Birmingham Airport, the NEC is a five-minute walk from Birmingham International Railway Station. Otherwise, there’s plenty of onsite parking, just pop B40 1NT in your sat nav.
