Soft and creamy like a brie, hard and nutty like a comte, or blue and funky like a stilton. However you enjoy it, there’s a cheese for everyone in the world – yes, even for vegans and the lactose intolerant. From cheese platters to cheesecake, this thousands-of-years-old product has made curd fanatics of us all.
That’s why you need to know about Birmingham’s ultimate celebration of all things cheese. Cheese Fest, which has become a brie-lliant sell-out event in recent years, is the biggest cheese-focused celebration in the city, offering a mix of cheese-obsessed street food traders, artisan cheeesemongers on the market stalls, and a ripe atmosphere.
Katie Matthews, Event Manager at Seasonal Markets said: “Cheese Fest is one of our favourite events to put on – it’s all about celebrating incredible food, bringing together amazing traders, and creating a fun, lively atmosphere that’s packed with cheese lovers. It’s always a sell-out, and we can’t wait to do it all over again this year!”
Cheese Fest will return on Saturday, April 26, at the Uffculme Centre in Moseley with three cheesy sessions to indulge on throughout the day (11am–2:30pm, 3pm–6:30pm, and 7pm–9:30pm). Just some of Birmingham’s cheesiest traders stopping by include That’s Mature Toasties, Melting Wheel Pasta and, for those with a sweet tooth, Urban Cheesecake.
“We absolutely love the vibes and atmosphere at Cheese Fest!” said Tony Jackson from Urban Cheesecake. “It’s such a fantastic event, full of energy and passion for all things cheese. Selling our cheesecake here is a real highlight, and we couldn’t be more excited to be part of the best cheese event around!”
